Historic Debut: Kawartha Lacrosse U11 Girls Capture Silver in Sixes Provincial Tournament
Kawartha Lacrosse is proud to celebrate the remarkable
achievement of its U11 team, which earned a silver medal in the top division
for u11 girls at the Provincial Championships held October 25–26 in Hamilton.
This
marks the first time Kawartha Lacrosse has fielded a team in the Sixes format,
showcasing the club’s adaptability and depth.

This event brought together top youth lacrosse teams from across Ontario to compete in the sport’s fast-growing Olympic format, known as Sixes. This marks the first time Kawartha Lacrosse has fielded a team in the Sixes format, showcasing the club’s adaptability and depth. Despite a small roster that included three underage players from the U9 division, the U11 team demonstrated exceptional skill, teamwork, and resilience throughout the tournament.
