The U 11 Kawartha Lacrosse team finishes second in the province!
Oakville, ON – The U11 Kawartha girls opened their weekend in style Friday morning with a dominant 16-5 win over the Oakville Lady Hawks. Just over an hour later, they stayed hot with a 14-6 victory against a familiar rival, the Orangeville Northmen.
Those back-to-back wins punched their ticket to the semi-final against the Toronto Beaches. After three tight quarters, Kawartha broke the game open, pulling away for a 25-14 win and earning a spot in the championship matchup.
Waiting for them was the top-ranked Oshawa Lady Blue Knights. In the blazing heat, the girls battled hard from start to finish, but Oshawa would ultimately take the win.
